The Maison Gorey Hotel is situated below Mont Orgueil Castle, which dates to the 13th century, is the most picturesque castle in Jersey and one of the best preserved castles in Britain. It features life-size wooden soldiers who guard the castle from attack and has more than 50 exhibits, so is well worth visiting. The Island's capital, St. Helier, is just four miles away and easy to get to as Gorey is served by one of the best bus routes on the Island.
