My mother and father had stayed at the Moorings c1960 and they had said how good it was. So fifty years later I had high expectations and was not disappointed. My wife and I were staying with another couple and we had three very pleasant days in Gorey. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were attentive and smiling. Comfortable room, plus good food and wine. Even happy to post a tie that I had left behind back to me.

The Moorings Hotel is delightfully situated near the sea which is why I often stay there. It is easily accessed by the local buses. The staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. The food has also been top notch, both for breakfast and evening meal. I would definately recommend it as a home away from home.

A lovely room, with a giant bed and a view of the castle; wonderful food, dinner and breakfast, but above all, the attitude of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was friendly and courteous. I've stayed before, and would heartily recommend the hotel for business and for leisure trips.
