One of the finest country house hotels in Jersey, The Somerville Hotel is a 4 Star
hotel that is well known for its warm welcome and excellent reputation. Situated
on a hillside overlooking the picturesque harbour and village of St Aubin, and with
views of the historic St Aubin's Fort and the magnificent Elizabeth Castle, the
views from the Somerville hotel are breathtaking. It's not surprising that the Somerville
is one of the Island's most popular country house hotels.
Rooms
There are 56 charming and elegantly furnished bedroom, a mixture of Classic and
Superior types, all with the modern conveniences you would expect. Rooms come with
either inland views or panoramic views across St Aubin or Belcroute Bay.
Superior rooms are the most spacious and all are individually designed and luxuriously
furnished for the ultimate in comfort. These luxury rooms can be set up as either
a super king-size double or twin, and come equipped with: Bathrobes, safe, tea &
coffee making facilities, satellite television, direct dial telephone with voice
mail and a hairdryer.
Classic rooms are smaller but have been recently upgraded with completely refurbished
bedrooms and bathrooms. Like the Superior rooms, they can be arranged as either
a super king-size double or twin and include the same facilities: Bathrobes, safe,
tea & coffee making facilities, satellite television, direct dial telephone
with voice mail and a hairdryer.
Restaurant
The Somerville Hotel's highly-rated in-house restaurant 'Tides' has two coveted
AA red rosette awards and offers a superb all round gourmet experience. Using fresh
'Genuine Jersey' produce and the freshest available seafood, the head chef creates
daily changing menus with innovative dishes and an extensive a la carte menu, complemented
by a competitively priced and extensive wine list. The fresh fish with an east/west
fusion and succulent Jersey beef are notable examples, and the panoramic views over
the harbour and bay enhance the memorable dining experience. Guests of Dolan Hotels
who book half board can take advantage of the 'dine around' scheme; dine in any
Dolan Hotel at no additional cost (conditions apply).
Swimming Pool
Set within award-winning gardens is a heated outdoor swimming pool and terrace from
which there are spectacular views.

Weddings
The Somerville Hotel is a licensed Jersey wedding venue and the views, food, and
service make it the perfect location for your big day. The banquet and function
rooms can all be specially transformed and a dedicated wedding planner will help
choose your wedding reception menu and take the worry out of planning your day -
No detail is too small.
Conference Rooms
The Somerville Hotel has 4 newly refurbished conference and banqueting rooms and
together with the superb 'Tides' restaurant which can cater for up to 120 guests,
make it an excellent venue to hold conferences or gatherings.
The Boardroom is located on the first floor, flooded with natural daylight and with
large bay windows overlooking the yachting harbour of St Aubin. It is the perfect
venue for formal and informal meetings, or for smaller private dinner parties. In
Theatre style can accommodate 12 persons, Boardroom or Dining style 8 persons, and
as a Cocktail venue, 20 persons.
The Study is located adjacent to the Harbour Room and offers a warm and intimate
setting for smaller dinner parties or drinks receptions. It is also ideal as a breakout
room for refreshments and Lunch for smaller groups. It can accommodate 18 persons
to dine or 30 persons as a cocktail venue.
The Garden Suite is ideal for boardroom meetings, presentations or private dining
and benefits from natural daylight and includes blackout facilities. The Garden
Suite is licensed to hold civil ceremonies, seating up to 40 guests and the award
winning gardens provide a superb backdrop to any meeting or private function. In
Theatre style can accommodate 30 persons, Boardroom style 22 persons, Classroom
style 18 persons, Dining style 30 persons, and as a Cocktail venue, 50 persons.
The Harbour Room is the ideal venue for conferences and presentations. Fully soundproof
with sliding doors opening up into Tides Restaurant it is perfect for refreshment
and lunch breaks. Alternatively it breaks out into the Garden Suite or the Study
which are adjacent to the Harbour Room. In Theatre style The Harbour Room can accommodate
55 persons, Boardroom style 36 persons, Classroom style 33 persons, Dining style
40 persons, and as a Cocktail venue, 70 persons.
Tourist Attractions
There are a number of al fresco restaurants and vibrant harbourside bars in St Aubin
and if you can't find anything there, St Helier, the capital of Jersey, with its
department stores, boutiques and nightclubs is near-by.
