Shopmobility Scheme

Shopmobility is a scheme throughout the UK which provides powered scooters and manual/powered wheelchairs to those who are either permanently or temporarily disabled. The scheme is open to visitors as well as Jersey Islanders and allows those with disabilities to visit shops and places of interest. This scheme operates from the lower floor of the Sand Street car park in St Helier, and all equipment will be delivered to hotels/homes without charge for overnight usage. There is a limited number of scooters which will fit in cars and full advice on the equipment will be given.

For Tourists and Non-members (i.e. temporarily disabled) the charge will be £5.00 per day for powered scooters or chairs or £3.00 per day for manual chairs or quadwalkers and that includes parking whether the person has a blue badge or not. Annual membership also available for £30 and a £2 charge for each daily use from Sand Street. Those using the service can park free on the lower ground floor for an unlimited time during the opening hours of Shopmobility while they use the equipment.
