English Courses in Jersey

Jersey Language Adventure is a small family-run English language and adventure school based on the beautiful island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. We offer intensive English courses in Jersey combined wit an adventure programs in a friendly homestay environment.

Full day programmes ensure your learning continues throughout the day. Formal English tuition is combined with informal and fun afternoons allowing your confidence to build in a relaxed and stimulating environment.

We welcome students of all ages and abilities. You can book as an individual or as a small group. We accept a maximum of 8 students per week. The teacher-student ratio is strictly 1:4. Accommodation is either with your English teacher and his family, or with one of our carefully selected host families.

English and Adventure in Jersey

This family-run English language home stay college offer private lessons in the morning and adventure activities accompanied by your English teacher and host in the afternoon. Learn English whilst having fun! Packages start from £500 per person per week.

Your Host Family

The Smith family offer total immersion English courses - you live with your English teacher, who is also a qualified adventure sport instructor, giving you unlimited English practice and advice. Full day programmes ensure your learning continues throughout the day.

Formal English tuition is combined with informal and fun afternoons allowing your confidence to build in a relaxed and stimulating environment. David (English teacher and Adventure Instructor), Natalie (Photographer) and Fred (their young son) welcome you into their home. All meals are provided and eaten with the family.

Activities

Morning English classes are followed by exciting activities around the island of Jersey. Choose from: surfing, rock climbing, sea kayaking, coasteering, walking and cycling tours, music festivals, jewellery making, yoga, fishing or suggest an activity...

ENGLISH LANGUAGE & ADVENTURE PACKAGE

6 nights accommodation (Sunday - Saturday)
All meals
12.5 hrs English tuition (mornings)
3 activities (afternoons)

£700 per person per week (room share with 1 other student, max 4 students per class)
£1250 per person per week (private room and 1-on-1 tuition)

Example programme for your stay in Jersey

Monday to Friday

Breakfast with the family followed by your First Lesson (emphasis on new grammar, vocabulary and accuracy)
Short break, then onto your Second Lesson (emphasis on communication and fluency)
Lunch Break (This may include a trip with your English teacher to buy fresh, local produce from local markets. Packed lunches are also sometimes prepared to be enjoyed during your afternoon activities)
Your choice of the following activities (lead by your English/Adventure teacher and host), or free time if preferred: Surfing, Rock Climbing, Sea Kayaking, Coasteering Walking and Cycling tours, Music Festivals, Jewellery Making, Yoga, Fishing, and many more...
Dinner with the family
Evening activities, to include: Cinema and movies, Local music events, Theatre trips, Sporting activities, Night fishing trips or simply relaxing at home

Weekends

At the weekends you are free to explore Jersey in your own time. An extended programme is available for younger children.
