The New Year's Day Turkey Buster 2012
When: 1 January 2012, noon - 2pm
Where: Corbiére Observation Tower, Corbiere, St Brelade
Event: The annual Coastline Campaign walk is organised by the National Trust for
Jersey. Meeting point is the Obervation Tower at La Corbiere. A donation of at least
£2 is required for participation, for the cause of the Coastline Campaign.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass
When: 10 January 2012 – 21 January 2012
Where: Jersey Arts Centre, Philips Street, St Helier
Event: The Jersey Amateur Dramatic Club performs Alice in Wonderland.

Jersey Tough Guy 2012 "Balls of Steel"
When: 29 January 2012, 9am - noon
Where: Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre, Rue de la Pouclee at Des Quatre
Chemins, St Martin
Event: In 5 miles of wet terrain full of obstacles, tyres and mud, you can show
if you have "Balls of Steel". Categories are Men, Ladies and Teams, participants
must be over 16. Entry fee TBA, includes insurance, guides, showers, breakfast and
more. Proceeds support The Cystic Fybrosis Research Trust.

The Moscow State Circus

Event: The Moscow State Circus and its extravaganza Babushkin Sekret come to Jersey

Jersey Events May 2012
CRY Jersey Western Walkathon
When: 5th May 2012
Event: A 21 mile sponsored charity walk around the Western parishes (including a
shorter 6 mile option) starting at the 1st lay-by on Victoria Avenue, heading through
Waterworks Valley and St Lawrence, through St John and St Mary and coming down to
St Ouen's Bay before returning via Corbiere and the Railway Walk and then back to
the start point. £6 registration fee plus sponsorship required to partake.

Jersey Boat Show
When: 5 - 7 May 2012, 10am - 6pm
Where: St Helier Marina, St Helier
Event: Being held for the 5th time, The Jersey Boat Show will again attract thousands

Spring Walking Week
When: 12 – 19 May 2012
Event: Explore Jersey's nature and heritage during these free walks. A walk on the
coastline around the island takes 5 days and costs £20 for the transfer to
and from your starting point.
The Jersey International Motoring Festival
When: 25 - 27th May 2012
Event: The annual Jersey International Motoring Festival features classic and vintage
cars as well as motorcycles in a large race. There is also an exhibition showing
vehicles from Jersey's motoring clubs, trade stands and the largest static motor
show in the Channel Islands.

Event: The Spring Fair combines the Jersey Rosa and Flower Show with the Island
Spring Cattle Show and the traditional country fayre. There will be entertaining
programme for the whole family, such as cattle shows, craft shows, ring-events,

Bonne Nuit Harbour Festival

Where: Bonne Nuit Bay, St John
Event: The Harbour Festival presents family entertainment right at the wonderful
north coast bay, including music shows, refreshment, beach games and competitions.

Floral Festival "June in Bloom"
When: 17 – 24 June 2012
Event: "The Floral Island" Jersey hosts the annual Spring Floral Festival ending
in the British Summer Festival and Jersey Rose Show at Samarès Manor. The stunning
floral attractions show Jersey in full bloom, rich in colours and scents. There
are talks and lectures held by expert horticulturalists.

22nd Annual Itex Charity Walk
When: 23 June 2012, 3am
Where: Elizabeth Terminal, Jersey Harbour, St Helier
Event: The annual 48.1 miles long 'Around the Island' Walk supports Jersey charities.
Starting point is the Elizabeth Terminal at 3am. The walk will take between 12 and

The Jersey Evening Post West Show

Where: West Show Association Field, off La Grande Route de St Pierre, St Peter
Event: The West Show is Jersey's largest country show, celebrating the island's
rural traditions with local produce and craft as well as horticultural, farm and
environmental exhibitions. Free parking available.

Jersey International Beach Rugby Tournament
When: 14 July 2012, 11am - 5pm
Where: St Brelade's Bay, St Brelade
Event: 2012's International Beach Rugby Tournament is held at Jersey once again.
Beach rugby is played on a half beach pitch and requires quick moves and 6-10 players.

2012 London Olympic Torch Relay
When: 15 July 2012
Where: Weighbridge Place, St Helier
Event: Jersey is the most southerly stop of the Olympic Torch on its way around
the British Isles before the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games on
27 July. The Torch passes Jersey's coast and ends in Weighbridge Place.

St Helier Pilgrimage

Event: The St Helier Pilgrimage starts at Elizabeth Castle and includes free Castle

More Than Gold Community Festival

Event: The Community Festival celebrates Jersey's community and culture, including

Where: Havre des Pas Lido, St Helier

the natural sea water bathing pool. A food fair is held by the restaurants and pubs

Jersey Battle of Flowers Grand Day Parade

Event: The Grand Day Parade of the Battle of Flowers is a huge carnival event where
the flower festooned floats are displayed along with entertainment by musicians

Event: The Jersey Live Festival attracts thousands of visitors and numerous popular
artists each year. Tickets have sold out quickly in the past, which is no wonder
with stars like The Streets, Feeder, The Ting Tings, Ed Sheeran, Katy B, The Rapture
and Madness and Plan B. This is the Channel Islands' biggest music festival, counting
20,000 visitors over the weekend.

Event: One of the largest free air displays in Europe is held in Jersey on 13 September.
