Situated in the picturesque village of St. Aubin, Hotel La Tour reflects the unique character of this historic corner of Jersey. An early hub of Island life, St. Aubin was once a busy working port and home to many of Jersey's wealthy merchants whose houses and workshops can still be seen jostling for space on the pretty cobbled streets that wind down to the harbour.
Dating back to the 17th century, Hotel La Tour itself was originally a merchant's house and until 1751 was owned by the Martel family, who founded the famous Martell Cognac brand. The distinctive tower was added in the mid-19th century and, perhaps due to its breathtaking views over the old port, La Tour first became a hotel in the 1920s. A sympathetic blend of historic features and contemporary style, you'll enjoy Hotel La Tour as much for its individuality as you will for its location and atmosphere.
The walk up La Rue Du Crocquet is worth it for the view alone. From here, Hotel La Tour enjoys uninterrupted views across the bay. With 30 uniquely styled rooms, beautiful terrace gardens and access to an excellent restaurant, privately-owned Hotel La Tour and Hotel La Place makes the perfect base from which to explore Jersey. St. Helier's VAT-free shopping and some of the Island's finest beaches which are only a short distance away and can be explored via a frequent local bus service which departs regularly from the village.
