One of the biggest and most exciting cultural events held in Jersey is Branchage - the Jersey International Film Festival, showcasing the best in international and home grown cinema. The new event only began in 2008 but already is already going from strength to strength, offering a diverse programme of feature, documentary and short films, live music and performance.
Transforming many of Jersey's beautiful and historical venues such as Gorey Castle, Jersey War Tunnels and the Old Magistrates Court into unique cinema and music venues, the boutique festival provides a programme of stellar films and live soundtrack events.
Among those that will feature are the best new independent British and international films, including new films from Eastern Europe and Latin America to reflect the islands Polish and Portuguese speaking communities. Whatever your taste in film or music, the Jersey International Film Festival will have something for everyone and is the perfect event to celebrate international cinema.
