Named after the wandering saint St. Branwallader, St Brelade is located on the south and west coast and features some of the most popular bays in Jersey. The parish church, built during the 11th century from local granite, stands at the end of one of these bays - the beautiful St Brelade's Bay. La Corbiere lighthouse on the south-western part of the Island is one of Jersey's most famous landmarks and provides panoramic views of the beautiful scenery. St Brelade is also home to some of the major German fortifications, built on Noirmont headland, such as Noirmont Command Bunker, an impressive and well-preserved German naval command bunker.
